Community Guidelines
Effective July 2, 2026
LiftHero exists so lifters can share what works. These guidelines keep that experience useful, honest, and safe. By posting, sharing routines, or interacting with other users, you agree to follow them.
These guidelines apply everywhere on LiftHero: posts, comments, groups, Spotlight, shared routines, profile information, and private direct messages (including any images you send in them).
Be real
- Don't impersonate other people, coaches, or brands.
- Don't post engagement bait, spam, or repeat the same post across accounts.
- Use one account per person. Don't sell, trade, or share account access.
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or appearance.
- No sexually explicit content. LiftHero is a fitness app, not an adult platform.
- Critique form, not people. Disagreeing about training methodology is fine — personal attacks aren't.
Be honest about what you share
- Don't fabricate lifts, PRs, or workout data to mislead other users.
- Don't promote unsafe practices: extreme cuts, untested supplements as essential, "guaranteed" weight loss, or anything that crosses into disordered eating territory.
- Don't share routines you didn't create without crediting the original source.
Don't post these
- Illegal content, including promotion of controlled substances or prescription drugs without context.
- Content that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors. We report this to the relevant authorities and remove it on sight.
- Personal information about other people (doxxing), private messages shared without consent, or content that violates someone else's privacy.
- Unsolicited, sexual, violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable images in direct messages. Images in DMs are subject to the same rules and the same automated moderation as public content.
- Spam, scams, MLM recruiting, or fake coaching offers.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property.
Staying safe
You have controls to manage your own experience:
- Block a user — they can no longer message or interact with you.
- Mute a user or a group — their content is hidden from you without notifying them.
- Report content or users — including images in direct messages — for review.
- Delete your own content at any time.
Reporting and enforcement
Posts, comments, shared routines, profiles, groups, and direct messages (including images) can all be reported from within the app. LiftHero has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We aim to review reported content and act within 24 hours; content involving minors is actioned on sight.
Depending on severity, we may remove the content, warn the user, temporarily restrict the account, or permanently terminate access. Illegal content — including child sexual abuse material — is removed and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant authorities. Uploaded images are additionally screened by automated moderation, described in our Privacy Policy. We don't always notify users about removed reports, to protect reporter privacy.
Disabled routine links
Creators can disable a shared routine link at any time from the app. Once disabled, the public landing page returns a notice instead of the routine, and the link can't be re-enabled — generate a new share if you change your mind.
If your content is removed
You'll receive an in-app notification with the reason. If you believe the removal was a mistake, reply to the notification or email lifthero.support@gmail.com within 30 days and we'll review it. Repeated violations lead to permanent account removal.

Updates
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
